THE DISRUPTER: A PROPHETIC ADMONITION REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS

Since the breaking news yesterday that there has been one confirmed case of someone having the coronavirus in Jamaica I found myself praying to God for wisdom. As a Prophet I certainly want to know what God has to say about this situation but also as a Pastor I want to be able to minister faith and calm to the people I lead.
As I meditated on all that have been happening the Lord brought me back to a prophecy I released for the nation. Though it was a prophecy released in 2018 I do believe that there are aspects of that prophecy that are very relevant for the time we are in now. In that prophecy the Lord said:
“I am calling on the spiritual watchmen of this nation to be unafraid to speak My words and give timely warnings that will preserve lives... Also many Jamaicans will turn to supernatural sources for protection. Unfortunately some will seek satanic workers to give them protection for their families, their businesses, their homes and other possessions but I am the God of Moses. I am the Lord who prevented the firstborns of the children of Israel in Egypt from dying because of the blood upon their doorposts.
Am I not able to do for Jamaicans what I did for My people Israel?
Those who put their trust in the God of Moses will see the protection of the Lord. I will cause Pastors and Ministers to preach and teach about the blood of the Lamb in Jamaica in greater ways.”
He is STILL THE GOD OF MOSES IN 2020 and He is still saying LOOK TO HIM FOR PROTECTION. We must remember that the death of the firstborns of Egypt was the 10th plague. There were nine more before that and God was able to bring an end to all nine plagues.
I believe more than anything the coronavirus is proving to be a DISRUPTER. It has literally shifted and disrupted the plans of many across the globe. This made me think of James 4:13-15. It says
13 Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
James is saying people are planning for tomorrow when they don’t even know what tomorrow holds. When last have some of us said “God willing I will go here or I will do that?”
Have we truly humbled our hearts to even think about the possibility that something could happen to disrupt our plans and ways of living? That life is like a vapor that comes and vanishes. So everyday you wake up you just have to tell Father God thanks for another day.
How many of our plans have excluded God?
Proverbs 19:21 says “many are the plans of a man’s heart but it’s the Lord’s purposes that will prevail.” We don’t know what tomorrow holds but we know who holds the future and because He lives we can face tomorrow.
So did the coronavirus catch God by surprise? Absolutely not. Jesus Christ predicted in Luke 21:11 “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.”
Coronavirus falls in the category of pestilences.
Is there anything we can do from a spiritual perspective to get rid of this pestilence?
There is.
2nd Chronicles 7:12-15
12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
Let us as a nation:
1. HUMBLE OURSELVES
2. PRAY
3. SEEK GOD’S FACE
4. TURN FROM OUR WICKED WAYS
I believe WHOLEHEARTEDLY that God is a merciful and gracious God. It is not his will for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. I honestly don’t believe God will turn a deaf hear to us if we sincerely call on him for divine intervention. Jehovah Rapha is His Name. Let us remember what He said when He revealed Himself as such. In Exodus 15:26 God used the Prophet Moses to tell His people:
“If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that health thee.”
